BitMart Is Shutting Down: What TXC Holders Need to Know
Our first major exchange is winding down. If you hold TXC on BitMart, withdraw to self-custody now. Here's what happened, what we're doing, and where to trade next.

BitMart — the exchange that listed TEXITcoin on December 31, 2024 — has announced that it is shutting down.
The official notice went live on July 26, 2026. Trading will halt on August 26, 2026, and users will have a withdrawal window after that. BitMart has called it an "orderly cessation," but in crypto, "orderly" is a word you verify with your own actions.
If you hold TXC on BitMart, withdraw it to your own TEXITcoin wallet immediately.

A bittersweet milestone
BitMart was our first major exchange. Going live on New Year's Eve 2024 felt like a real turning point — proof that TXC could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with established assets on a global trading venue. They had been around for years, built real liquidity, and gave international buyers an easy on-ramp.
So this hurts. Not because we are surprised by a bear market — we are not — but because every exchange that closes narrows the on-ramp for honest money. Fewer venues means less access, less visibility, and more work for the projects that survive.
It is not just BitMart
The last few weeks have been brutal for crypto service providers. BitMEX, the exchange that more or less invented the perpetual swap, announced on July 23 that it is sunsetting on September 23, 2026. That is two historic exchanges, in the span of a few days, both deciding the math no longer works.
Add in the smaller custodians, brokers, and infrastructure shops that have quietly wound down this year, and the picture is clear: the bear market is not just cleaning out leverage traders. It is cleaning out operators.
That is the reality of a low-volume, high-regulation environment. It is painful, but it is also clarifying. The businesses left standing will be the ones with real balance sheets, real compliance, and real communities.
What we are doing

We are already in discussions with alternative exchanges to list TXC and provide liquidity for international buyers. Nothing is signed yet, so we will not name names — but we are moving fast.
In the meantime:
- US-based buyers can still trade TXC on Pionex via the TXC/USDC pair.
- Everyone can track live TXC markets and new listings on our TXC Top 100 page.
- Direct swaps are available on the site for users who already hold USDC.
We will update the How to Buy page and our social channels the moment a new primary international exchange is confirmed.
How to withdraw safely
- Log into BitMart and navigate to Assets → Withdraw.
- Select TXC.
- Enter your personal TEXITcoin wallet address. If you do not have one, grab the TEXITcoin Web Wallet or the Cold Storage Coin.
- Send a small test transaction first. Wait for it to confirm.
- Withdraw the rest.
- Confirm the balance lands in a wallet where you control the keys.
Never leave funds on an exchange that is winding down. "Orderly" does not mean "fast," and it does not mean your withdrawal request will be processed quickly if everyone rushes the door at once.
The bigger picture
This is a setback, not a verdict. Exchanges come and go. The asset, the chain, and the community remain. TEXITcoin is still mined in Texas, still governed by its holders, and still building the honest-money infrastructure we set out to build.
We are sad to see BitMart go. We are grateful they took a chance on TXC when we were brand new. And we are determined to make sure the next exchange that lists us is even better.
Not your keys, not your coins. Withdraw your TXC. Stay safe. Stay Texan.
