That was very abrupt. we have to work a little bit on our transitions welcome everyone it is thursday october eight probably twelve noon where you are maybe one o'clock uh i'm bobby gray joined with co-host slash producer slash best had the year award maddie and we're here for another edition of what is texted coin i don't know if we've got an official title for this program you know honest money live is working really well for us but that's supposed to be special on wednesdays we didn't have a show this past week um yesterday we are working now on lining up really really great guests uh which is tough because guest number one was ron paul and that's a really tough act to follow guest number two our man gary franchi who i've known since the very beginning of my journey in the world of honest money, alternative and complementary currencies, and all things freedom and liberty. And so we're looking for really great guests that want to join us and tell that story, talk about what they do, their particular thing that they're passionate about that is advancing The ideals of freedom and liberty and prosperity, wherever they are in the world, there are a lot of different ways to do that. Money's not the only one. I personally think, and Maddie probably agrees, that money is like the most important one or maybe like a top one hundred important one or maybe like the foundation of everything else. You know, if the money's dishonest, the trades are dishonest, the society is dishonest, the markets are dishonest. Everything from there becomes dishonest. And, you know, we've been working a lot on this Zero Chill project. You've probably heard us talk about it here. It's very exciting for us. Maybe my wife can stop turning lights off in the room. Maybe she'll turn them back on over there. And the light switch, turn on the lights area. Well, that's the opposite. There we go. Now we got some lights. Thanks, wife. Don't give me that look. I didn't invite you into my studio to shut off all my... Anyway, we're talking about Zero Chill. And it's like, well, haven't video games already been done? What is it that you're bringing to the video game conversation that's new and revolutionary? Well, how about honest money? How about we build a gaming system on top of a financial... platform, a currency system, like everything that you build on top of honest money has the potential to be great. Everything you build on dishonest money is a house of cards, a sandcastle on the beach. You know, it's just a matter of time until it ends badly. and so you know we look at honest money as this very important thing and someone's got to do it someone's got to be the guy or the people that are carrying this torch forward ron paul is he put in his time he did his part he woke up people he found the remnants he found the outsiders he connected with the individuals that knew that something was wrong, me and a bunch of other people like me. And we woke up and we said to ourselves, you know, we have to do our part as well. And so we're hacking away at the root of evil, which we believe is dishonest money. And so that's what this call is all about. And that's what the guests are all about to join us for Honest Money Live. This call, Thursday's call, is usually a Texitcoin update. And so... um and so we're trying to compartmentalize i'm sure that things will shift around a little bit from time to time as uh as guest schedules um demand but the point is that today we want to talk about techsip coin now having said all that i'm going to talk about honest money And I'm going to talk about honest money because I've been working on this project for a very long time now. And the project really started when I say the project, I guess I should tell you which project I'm talking about. I've been working on some tech stuff. And the idea of the tech stuff is to bring all of this together. I mean, honest money is broad. It's vague. What are we talking about? Complimentary currencies? Are we talking about ending the Fed? Are we talking about gold and silver? We can't be talking about crypto because crypto is not... Kind of like gold and silver. So what do you mean when you say honest money? We're talking about an ecosystem, which when I started Texacoin back in twenty twenty four was like a dirty word. Like you weren't allowed to say ecosystem in my presence without me accusing you of being one of those basic crypto word salad bros. That didn't actually know what you were talking about. But if you threw ecosystem and disruptive and decentralized and the other words around enough, you could like get by. You could stand behind a counter at a booth in an expo and you could be taken seriously for reasons unknown. We embraced the word ecosystem because ecosystem really embodies, it sums up what we've created. We created a whole mess of tools and resources and utilities and apps and dApps so that you have an easy way of getting started with honest money. Now, about twenty years ago, when I started in this realm of honest money, I was trying to convince you to take your life savings, put it into gold and silver, and then go out there and barter on a horse and buggy with other people in your community. And it worked. And I never sold on fear. I didn't tell people the dollar is going to crash. You have to get in now. I don't know. But I said, hey, if we barter with each other, we'll develop strong community connections. We can meet our neighbors and we can exchange and create value locally. That made sense to me. And I was good at it. And it worked. But that required a lot of work. It wasn't easy. Anytime I brought a new merchant onto our system, it was a four hour conversation. History of money, the creature from Jekyll Island, nineteen thirteen, nineteen thirty three, nineteen sixty four, nineteen forty five. All these different men. It's like a history lesson and an economics lesson. And all of these, you know, really deep. philosophical, borderline conspiracy theory conversations work. It took time. And ultimately, you know, if you won somebody over back in those days, it was great. They liked it and they became a fan. But what we've realized as time has gone by is that the dollar hasn't gotten any stronger. Inflation hasn't gotten any better. Prices haven't gotten any more competitive. The US hasn't improved its position globally. We haven't done much in the way of cutting down on foreign wars. Things seem to be getting worse. and if i'm working on this honest money project and that work is important and it's valuable and it has the ability to improve things where's the beef like where's where's the proof what am i am i unsuccessful am i not doing it right is it a lost cause is it you know um impossible is this challenge so big and overwhelming that one man can't make a difference Or maybe I'm just not doing it right. Maybe I'm doing it the hard way. Maybe I am not using the tools of our time to affect a change that is palatable to today's high-tech digital world. And ultimately, that's what I concluded. I said, well, gold and silver are great. But bartering coins from merchant to merchant is very slow. We're doing well here, but if we want the whole world to wake up to honest money, we've got to talk to them in words, using language that they understand today, giving them the same tools that work just as good, if not better, than everything else that they're used to right now. I mean, look around at Main Street. You walk into a business today and there's a chance that they've got a sign behind the counter that says, we don't accept dollars here, credit card only here. What? What are we talking about? We're talking about the banks doing such a good job convincing us that we need them. that we now refuse the national currency. No, no, no. We don't want dollars anymore. We want plastic. We want to pay two and a half, three percent to the banking overlords for giving us the privilege of not having to make change. Maybe most kids today don't know how to make change. Whatever the reason is that we're in this situation today, we realize that we have to use tools that are as good as or better than the tools that the other guys are using. So if I go out there and I convince people to use gold and silver coins, man, oh man, if you think that making change with dollars is hard, try making change with gold and silver coins. Here's an ounce of gold. Can I have an ice cream cone? Well, I don't know. Can I make change for four thousand three hundred dollars of gold coins? You ever see that video with the guy that's out trying to like sell a gold coin? Hey, would you buy this gold coin off me for for twenty dollars or fifty dollars? It says twenty dollars on it. Would you buy it for fifty? No, I'm not interested. You know, people don't understand gold. They don't understand silver. They can't make change for that stuff. It doesn't work. So we have to create the tools so that when we go to somebody, go, hey, would you like to get into crypto? I don't know, man. I don't understand that stuff. It's really hard. It's confusing. We have to make it as easy and palatable for a normal, everyday, ordinary person to engage or we're going to lose. We're not going to get there. We're not going to win. We want to win. And we want to win big. That's why we're here. And my belief is if we create these tools, we can get there. We can get there. We got to build the mind. We got to build the community. We got to promote the coin. We got a lot of work to do, but we can get there if we've got the tools that make it possible for the market to exchange. So that's the goal. Well, we came out with Texacoin in twenty twenty four and that was our foundation. That was the you know, that was the was the beginning of our journey and then a couple months later we came out with a mobile wallet and it sucked and it was really terrible and still to this day we have that same mobile wallet and it still sucks today and then time goes on we get a little bit of this and then we got a web wallet well in may of twenty twenty six what is that five months ago We discovered, through our man Corey and some of the things that he was creating, which were blowing our minds, we discovered AI. And we've all heard about it. You hear the news stories, you hear the people talk about it on the podcast, oh, it's gonna ruin everything, oh, it's gonna make everything better, it's gonna make everyone rich, it's gonna make everybody poor. There's a debate. It's out there. And, you know, we're not speaking today about what its impact is going to be on the future or potential thereof of humanity. We're talking about what it did to improve the likelihood of Texitcoin's success. That's what we're talking about today. get into deep philosophical debates about it later. But today we want to talk about how the discovery of this technology has improved our likelihood of success. And it also created for us an almost game ending potential disaster. So I discovered some of these tools and I said, man, this is really great stuff. I've been dreaming about this tool and that tool and this tool and all of these things that give us great utility, great purpose. When we talk about crypto, the guys throw utility out there to like pretend that it's not a security. And that's great. But what if it actually really had utility? What if there was real purposefulness for a particular coin? You know, look at all the stuff you can do with Ethereum gas. You can build smart contracts. You can, you know, create all kinds of wild things. And you need Ethereum to pay the tolls to do it. It's expensive, but it's out there and it works. And so we saw that real utility was always going to be the foundation of our coins value. We started from day one with a no influencer policy. We said, we're not going to get to the tops of the charts by paying people to pump us. We're not going to have somebody spit on that thing and get our coin all the way up to number. Where did she go? Did she hit the top one hundred? Probably. I think she got to the top one hundred for like a minute. We're not going to do that. That's not what we want. That's not what honest money is after. It's not after a quick flash in the pan and then a joke in the news. We're after real purpose. We're after real utility. And we know that that comes long term from money. being valuable in the marketplace. And so when I came across some of these tools in May this year, five months ago, I said, this is a bit of a game changer. We've got a great development team. Let's go back to the development team and let's introduce them to these tools. Maybe they don't know about them yet. And let's ask them to develop the things that we're dreaming of that are going to give us this purpose using these tools. And they can probably get it done really fast. Well, wouldn't you know that instead of taking the advice and keeping their jobs, they decided to put back doors in our wallets. And it was like, really? Don't you guys know that like developers are getting put out of work kind of quickly with some of these things, not all developers. And there are some great developers out there that are still doing great things that you can't do with AI. But we're giving you a chance to have the best of both worlds. Keep your jobs. Keep your salaries. Just go faster with these tools. And what do they do? They put a back door in. Weird. We found it just in time. Just in time. We fired them. We fixed the back door. And we rebuilt every single thing that they ever touched. If I do weird stuff, it gives me... Fun background stuff. Very strange. So that was what we started at the end of May. So think June, July, August, September, October. Four months. Four months and a couple days, we rebuilt every single thing. We built the explorers. We rebuilt the mempool. We rebuilt the mining pool server. We've even upgraded the core code just two days ago, as you saw. We rebuilt everything, wallets and the swap services, the wrapped tokens. I mean, everything from the ground up, everything. and it was a lot of work and man it was a close call i'll be the first to admit that and along the way as we're as we're building up this competency using these tools and working on our chain we also got a lot of other stuff done that we hadn't had yet and that was really cool because now all of a sudden our layer two comes to life and now all of a sudden nectar pay terminals start to pop online and accept crypto transactions and now all of a sudden we've got crypto pop working and creating opportunities for gamifying participation and i said man this is this is really great stuff next thing you know we've got like a dozen or two dozen different tools out there fixing all the problems that i've come across in this industry We've got firsthand access now to some really great, powerful tools that give us the ability to build everything that we want, number one. And number two, have complete control over it. And that is really, really spectacular. And so I kept going. I said, well, why stop there? Why not build this thing and that thing? Next thing you know, you look at it and you go, OK, I've gone a little bit too far, man. We're making so many things now that nobody even knows where to start. Well, I don't even know what you have. There's fifty different websites now. You've got multiple chains, multiple walls. I have no I'm overwhelmed. And we went so far into building out this ecosystem that, you know, we lost the forest for the trees. We knew that we had to build a bunch of stuff, but it was like throwing all this stuff at the wall, seeing what sticks, following through on building those things, fleshing those things out. A lot of it was absolutely necessary. Some of it wasn't. But we've built all these things and we've given people the tools to build on our network as well. And so now not only are we building things, but other people are building things. Real utility is coming our way. Spectacular. And I said, you know, at some point we're going to need to find an umbrella for all of this stuff that we're doing. At some point, we need to tie all of this together because there's a lot of it and people are getting confused and lost. And so the umbrella that revealed itself to us was honest money. And we said, man, what's the common theme between all of these things? Zero Chill and Hiskander and Texacoin and the apps and the dApps. It's all about honest money. what all these things excuse me i'm a little sick still what all these tools give us now is five or ten or fifty or hundred or five hundred different ways for people to join and participate in the honest money conversation without having to go all through the exact same door. When we started this thing, it was like, how can we support you? Well, you can buy a handful of TXC on the open market, or you can buy a mining package. That's it, path A, path B. How can you support us today? Oh, there are a lot of different ways. Are you a content creator? How about you share your videos on Stream TXC? Do you like to travel? How about you use our AI-powered travel assistant at Passage? We've got all of these things now, and you can pick any one of them or all of them. they all contribute to building real utility purpose and ultimately value inside of our ecosystem and on our chain and so the goal is to have a lot of these things but now what we've done is we've brought them all together under the honest dot money umbrella and i just i i launched it a couple weeks ago I started, you know, bringing the pieces together. But just in the last forty eight hours, has it gotten to a place where I'm really happy with it? And I want to share it with you because it finally looks good and it has a key component that we've been waiting for. And that key component is what we're kind of calling now, like. ecosystem profile management. And so what we want you to do is we want you to create a profile now on honest.money. And then I saw a TikTok that's like, what happened to all the color in the world? We used to have colorful shirts and clothes and bags and houses. And now everything's like gray, beige, paint can, gray, boring, black and white. And I said, okay, let's add a little color. And then all of a sudden my wife goes, well, if we were Green Bay fans, this would be a really great website. And she's kind of right about that because the green and gold I think is used by our friends at Green Bay Packers. I'm not sure. We'll fact check that and maybe make some colorful adjustments to it. But I got the website now to a point where I'm really happy with it. And it does a much better job beginning to introduce to you that message and our story. And we can work on the colors. But this is what we've got as of right now. And if you start to scroll down the page, you'll see some of these projects that we've brought together that are now ready for prime time. And so we retained some of the content from before. This is my journey. These are my tools. Two thousand seven, Congressman Ron Paul lit a fire in my heart for honest money. Two thousand twelve, I got to go in front of U.S. Congress. And back to speaking in front of Dr. Paul about voluntary parallel currencies, the roadmap to monetary freedom. And then of course, we fast forward, fourteen years from there, twelve years to when I started Texacoin, fourteen years to where we are today, where now we're embracing the digital future. It's not just Litecoin that we're marking with our name. We are claiming our territory on Doge and Litecoin blocks. What does it mean? It means we really mine both chains. It doesn't mean we have a partner who mines. It doesn't mean that we resell the hash rate. Our pool builds the block, the network accepts it, and the network pays our address. You can't fake a Litecoin or Dogecoin block. It's permanent. Once a block is buried under a few more, it ain't coming out. No company can delete it. No regulator can redact it.
