Patrick Byrne on Election Claims, Bitcoin Mining, and TEXITcoin

Patrick Byrne discusses his docuseries and election-interference claims. Bobby Gray and Byrne examine Bitcoin mining concentration, peer-to-peer payments, and TEXITcoin’s Texas-based mining.
On October 21, Bobby Gray welcomed Patrick Byrne to the fourth episode of Honest Money Hour for a conversation about election claims, Bitcoin, and the reasons behind TEXITcoin. Bobby connected the discussion to his own introduction to honest money through Ron Paul in 2007 and 2008. Byrne described his background as an entrepreneur and Stanford-trained philosopher whose studies included mathematics and computation theory. They also revisited an earlier meeting in Galveston before a Ron Paul birthday barbecue. Byrne clarified that the docuseries discussed on the call focuses mainly on his experiences before 2020, rather than his subsequent election-related activities. Much of the call centered on Byrne’s allegations about intelligence operations and election interference. He claimed that officials inside the United States government worked to undermine it, and that Venezuelan and Cuban operatives developed systems used to manipulate elections internationally. He described working with Michael Flynn, intelligence contacts, and Venezuelan defectors, saying he spent roughly $35 million supporting the effort. Byrne also claimed his associates disrupted attempted manipulation of Venezuela’s 2024 election and that a later cyberattack on a Serbian data center prevented interference in the 2024 United States election. In his account, Elon Musk reviewed and vouched for their findings but did not conduct the later operation. These were Byrne’s allegations; the call supplied no independent verification, and his claim that the 2020 United States election was stolen is not supported by established evidence. Byrne described personal and legal risks connected to that work, including alleged surveillance, warnings about disclosing classified information, and a claimed Venezuelan bounty. He also offered sweeping allegations about Chinese plans against the United States. Bobby asked what practical steps could protect freedom rather than simply trace threats backward. Byrne argued that trustworthy elections were necessary but not sufficient, and that people also needed a monetary fallback outside government control. Bobby used that point to bring the conversation back to honest money and the importance of building something people can actually use. On cryptocurrency, Byrne said Bitcoin’s white paper caught his attention because he recognized the underlying problem of reaching agreement without a trusted central authority. He described money as a means of communicating value and scarcity, and argued that governments can distort those signals when they control its supply. Bobby emphasized circulation: accepting, spending, and trading a currency, rather than treating it only as a treasury asset or store of value. Both raised concerns about mining concentration, Chinese influence, and mining hardware. Byrne specifically mentioned 51 percent attack risks and alleged Antminer backdoor exposure. Their assertions about present Chinese control of Bitcoin mining were not substantiated during the discussion. Byrne said he uses Bitcoin for exchange rather than storing value in it. Byrne said TEXITcoin appealed to him because of its Texas-centered mining approach. Bobby described the project as applying established cryptocurrency code and rules to a network built specifically in Texas, with the goal of keeping peer-to-peer money useful and freedom rooted somewhere tangible. The closing discussion turned to market conditions. Bobby corrected Byrne’s recollection of a roughly $10 high, saying TEXITcoin had barely touched about $7 around September 2025. He attributed some of the subsequent weakness to market cycles and stressed that healthy markets need both buyers and sellers, noting that he had encouraged community members to sell rather than only hold. The supplied transcript ends mid-explanation. No new launch, formal decision, or concrete operational commitment was announced in the available portion.
And we're live. You'd think we'd have some sort of theme song. Episode four, we'd have a theme song by now. Some sort of jingle. Patrick, do you do any singing in your time? I love singing, but my father used to say that when I try to sing, I sound like a monkey. I'm the most, I can't, I'm the worst voice in the world. It's not a compliment. So what's up, Patrick? Bobby Gray here, a guy whose house you stayed in a year or so ago. nice to see you again you look so much better than when i saw you the last time that is a compliment uh you're joining us here on the fourth episode of honest money live and we are so grateful to you uh for taking time out of your day this conversation could be five minutes or it could be an hour it's up to you uh we're trying to get people excited and passionate as i was um know as i learned from ron paul back in uh two thousand seven two thousand eight when i got into this honest money movement we're trying to get people excited again we're having conversations with normal people we're having conversations with spectacular people titans of freedom liberty and money and you're one of the guys that matches that and so we're really honored to have you on here as our fourth guest I'm following in after some great people as well that were on here in the last couple of weeks. So thank you for being here. I've got a lot to talk about. I'm sure you do as well. Matty, what are we talking about here today? What's the most important thing on our list to discuss? Well, there's this incredible docuseries that Patrick burned. is the star of and i've got questions for him about that for his early adoption of bitcoin uh in uh for the one of the largest online retailers and uh um yeah then talking about the texacoin and and how that also is something that's exciting that has uh payment solutions so i'm gonna roll the thirty second intro and uh thanks everybody for being here I thought you were gonna roll some sort of intro for Patrick. Like, who is Patrick? What does this guy do? What has he done to amass this gigantic following on X that's learning all about this docu-series? But no, it was the title that we normally run at the beginning. We're learning, we're learning. Patrick, why don't you, if you don't mind, start off, give us the thirty-second intro to you for the people out there that don't already know about your greatness. Well, I'd say you haven't missed a thing. Much sound and fury signifying nothing. I've been an entrepreneur and an academic, did a PhD at Stanford in philosophy, heavy dose of computation theory and mathematics. So when crypto came along, I recognized it very much as being based on the same stuff I used to study, and I got involved in it. and i've been a serial entrepreneur but then in after that election i actually a year before the election i came out and revealed that i knew a lot more about what was going on than i probably any citizen should have i was right at the center of the russian anyway so uh the clinton investigation and the russian collusion set up so i uh anyway i guess i'll well you told me that story we we stayed up almost all night till uh the wee hours of the morning in galveston the night before uh we went to the ron paul birthday barbecue which is where you and i last saw each other and you told me and and the other guests at the house the story about how you pledged your you know your life your fortune and your sacred honor to pursue the the truth that went down a rabbit hole so wild and deep that you almost didn't make it out of there and i have no idea how deep you want to get into that today but that was an epic story uh and we appreciate you sharing that back then um maddie has told me that that's also kind of one of the topics that you're covering on this this docu-series is that right Yeah, the docuseries kind of covers the story I told you that night. It doesn't cover what's happened since twenty twenty, which is which is about I've dug into the the election. been involved in this election stuff so we have a lot of common places we can go in forty five minutes so you uh you choose you you lead the way but what i'm most curious about is how you made that segue from that world of you know entrepreneurism into this world of like you know high stakes international geopolitical tensions and you know, search for truth that you were on? Like, what is it that lit that fire in your heart to go from, you know, I'm sure a nice life to putting it all at risk for something that you took so seriously that you had to act upon it? Like, what was that? Well, I knew that I've known since Thanksgiving, that there is a group within our government trying to overthrow our government. I know that because I worked for them. And they were giving me Fisher and Fisher orders, thinking that I was doing the normal counterespionage or other kinds of work that I've done for them. And I put two and two together and realized, no, these people are trying to overthrow the government. So we set up this completely fake Russian collusion hoax. That's why you have pictures of me dating that Russian redhead. They had me setting up the... Yeah, I got sort of the assignments that weren't in any normal. And I also had the I set up Hillary Clinton for a bribe at their request. It turned out all of me so they could blackmail her. So I knew this was going on. So when I saw what happened on November third, twenty twenty, I knew that they had struck and they had overturned our government in a rigged election. And I spent two years working with General Flynn. on basically helping turn a lot of angry Americans into a movement. And then I went overseas for two years and worked with the CIA guy and a Venezuelan spook to turn basically, fifteen Venezuelan government people and flip them and give us all the information on these machines and how elections are rigged. And they turn out to be the maestros of rigging elections. So, so you worked for him. So you saw it from the inside and you're allowed to like talk about that stuff today. I mean, no, not at all. And like gag orders and all that stuff be damned. Not at all. Not at all. In fact, I got a warning once in twenty twenty that burn you always fifteen years for having gone public and for every classified thing you say is another fifteen years. So I'm way, way outside of the boundaries. At this point, we just don't really know what to do. I still try to be I mean, I'm not doing anything gratuitous to just hurt Uncle Sam. I know a lot of secrets I don't talk about. I talk about the things that I know that have germane to an overthrow of the United States. So, and I have heard that I've had words of appreciation sent from some people that we recognize you are trying to stay, that you're not just trying to cause damage, you're staying within boundaries. On the other hand, I believe there's a burn notice out on me that no one is allowed to speak to me, that no one in government can speak to me. It's kind of funny. Well, we're speaking here today. I mean, we'll never be friends again. Here's the funny part about it. Say again? This all sounds so impossible and so crazy. And I'm listening to this story that you're telling me at like three in the morning. And I'm like, okay, I think this guy maybe has lost it a little bit. And then no more than a week or two later, all of a sudden in the news, it's all Venezuela, right? And I'm like, he was right. This is really weird. And the Venezuela thing came out of nowhere. And you're like, just just watch. You'll see. You'll see this whole thing is going to break in just a couple of days. And, you know, the story that we heard on the mainstream media wasn't identical to the things that we had talked about. And I don't think that they ever really tell us what's actually going on. But the fact that we went from like Venezuela isn't really part of the discussion, all of a sudden everything's about Venezuela. That was really weird, uncanny. And so I said, I think our friend Patrick is on to something here. And I'll never forget that night. I'll never forget the way I felt when I saw that go down. So kudos to you, man. Good job. That happens more in my life than I wish it did. Yeah, that was all based. Yeah. We had fifteen Venezuelan, ultimately twenty nine Venezuelan defectors who after Trump came in, we turned over to the US government and they were given immunity and they were interviewed by the US government for months. And by about July or August, by about July of last year, they had finished sucking up all the information. Tulsi spent a month writing a report that basically said what I about That those that are that Venezuela has been in the center of an operation to rig elections for years. And a month later, there was a Navy flotilla on the way to Venezuela. That's all tied into the U.S. suffered. And by the way, I say this is a guy who didn't vote for Trump. People always think I must be some Trump again. I'm a Ron Paul guy. I've never voted Democrat in my life. But this was a but the election in twenty twenty was stolen. And I knew that mathematically and it was pretty easy to get to. So so anyway we the the venezuela what's really gone on is there's been a joint cuban venezuelan operation for twenty five years think of it as a joint venture of the two of them to subvert and overthrow our government they have shareholders and china is the quiet shareholder in the background but it was cuban venezuela and this is why the government is convinced of this finally which is why our government you're sorry united states government which is why a Navy flotilla went to Venezuela and Marco Rubio came out this year with a scathing report on Cuba saying Cuba has been at the middle of the communist penetration of the United States and they're in our hemisphere and they're this cancer that needs to be cut out. That's basically sums up what I spent the last four years on. you said that the things that have happened since then are really more uh uh well showcased in the docu-series is that right it's more like the things that happened before twenty twenty are showcased in the docu-series the things that happen after twenty twenty twenty twenty one are still happening i guess i've been too busy there's no books about it there's no movies There will be maybe someday. Yet. Right. Exactly. So there is there is one book. There's a book called Stolen Elections by Ralph Pizzullo, whose partners with the CIA guy I work with named Gary Bernson. And they have come out with a book that tells some of the story. So take me through the early days of your time into crypto. You said that you saw technology. Can I ask real quick on this topic before we move on? So Patrick, I'm not sure if I got this from your talk at the Schulter Island conference, the United We Stand thing where I met you and that was a really great time to celebrate freedom and and everything else um how did Elon Musk play into this story of what you discovered and what did he go on to do to help save elections in America okay I'll tell that that's kind of the tale of the story you've heard this thing about the ten thousand space lasers For people who haven't. Okay. Well, okay. So I spent twenty twenty one and twenty two with General Flynn building this thing called the America Project, getting this thing going. Twenty three, twenty four, twenty five, early twenty five, I spent overseas and I got all these work with these two other fellows. We got all these Venezuelans to defect. They're the people from the government who built the system to begin with and ran the system of stealing elections. There are maestros out. It turns out that the. There's a Venezuelan software. Let me back up just a little bit more. Venezuela, this all really starts with Venezuela sits on an oil reserve of five hundred billion barrels. For comparison, Saudi Arabia at number two has three hundred billion barrels. So Venezuela is almost twice the size of Saudi Arabia in its oil. It was taken over by a mafia twenty six years ago. Just a play up cartel. It's called the Cartel of the Generalissimo, the Cartel of the Suns. And every general wears a sun on his lapel. So the Cartel of the Suns, that is the government is the government of Venezuela is or was a cartel. They've looted three trillion dollars. They nationalized the oil industry and then just looted all the all the money and a three trillion dollars unlimited wealth. you're going to do that there's something else you have to steal you have to steal the election commission so you never get voted out of office and these guys stole the election commission and they developed a computerized election system that you know that the peasants of venezuela would say oh good computers everything's going to be fast and secure and stuff not understanding the computers once you put computers in the middle of processes like this everything can be picked up for grabs That core package ended up, through a series of corporate mergers and acquisitions and divestments and licenses and this, that, and the other thing, as the central package at most, or maybe all, of the major election machine manufacturers globally, is this package that was built to have a backdoor that can be manipulated while defeating audit. Audits won't pick it up. it's and that so i i accumulated the guys myself and gary and martin accumulated the people who had new some different components of this different venezuelans who had worked on different pieces of it government officials telecom engineers and so forth over the years we all ended up in a safe house Well, moving around Latin America, then the Caribbean, then finally Italy, and finally Switzerland. And I'm sitting there. By the way, I blew thirty five million bucks on all this. I was going to say that doesn't sound like an inexpensive journey. It sounds like it could get pricey quick. And we had Green Berets around us all the time. We had it was it was a lot. And we ended up having about thirty people to feed and house and such. And we hacked the Venezuelan election of July twenty. eight twenty twenty four and we hacked it so they could not cheat how they normally run their did i tell you this story this is what we this is what we talked about and it was impossibly uh complicated then i'm understanding it much better now it's probably because it's not three a.m this time well we They have a there for twenty five years. Their elections have been that the guy running against the dictator gets seven million votes. The dictator gets about two million votes. Then he stuffs five and a half million ballots. So he wins seven to seven over and over. And six years ago, they introduced a new wrinkle in their elections. When you vote, you present an I.D. card and you present a thumbprint. You have to give your thumb. It's supposed to make it more secure. In fact, what the system does is it takes the digital image of your ballot and ties it to your thumb, your thumbprint. So the secret police of the dictator can look you up, Bobby, and know just how you voted, which is something secret police really want. They really like that. So that creates a problem for them. How do you stuff the five and a half million ballots when you don't have those five and a half million thumbs? And what they do is they have another package that can sort of, that tricks the fingerprint machine and it makes it spit up a nine digit number just as if it actually got a thumbprint. Well, a week before the election, we hacked that that piece of code they have so it worked through testing but at twelve oh one on the morning of the election it just started spinning out random nine digit numbers so they could not stuff their ballots which is why venezuela's election if you remember two years ago when yeah sure They just shut down. They normally have this fake transparency where they've got a TV show and as the results come in from the provinces, they're, oh, what do you know? We won again by a hair. They do it over and over. This time at one PM, they just canceled the TV show because the results weren't coming in. They in fact lost, they only got one point five million ballots and the opponent got seven point five million. And I'm excluding a couple of minor parties who got a few hundred thousand votes. So That's why they canceled everything. It turned into this global outcry. Seventeen Latin American states refused to recognize the election. It was this big mishmash. Well, a couple of weeks later, they put out a twenty five million dollar bounty on me. Newsweek wrote an article about that. Ultimately, there's a twenty five million dollar bounty on me from Venezuela at the time. Hopefully that's gone now that Maduro's in prison. so that's that's how that and i'll give you the most dramatic moment of my life general flynn after all this flew over to meet these venezuelans and he came and see what we had we had this set up a ski hostel but it was summertime i was able to get it for a forty of us living together in this ski hostel and he flew over and he's very technical general michael flynn you know who i mean yeah yeah yeah sure right know he's got two master's degrees in telecoms he's very sophisticated technically and he's the greatest intelligence officer of his generation so he and i uh he sat with these venezuelans and i said sir before we go and you get what you hear is going to get you really angry don't show it yeah play it cool we go so of course patrick of course i've interviewed a thousand people i said okay but this is going to get you really angry he uh he sat and he interviewed them for ninety minutes and after ninety minutes they said he was convinced he was ready to leave and i said okay just one more he says i'm i'm convinced thank you i believe you and i said before we go i said to the one of the venezuelans tell the general how much this has gone on and the guy kind of gulped and he said general flynn we've been manipulating elections for twenty years and seventy two nations and for just a minute Flynn's very calm, cool and collected. It looked like he was either ready to cry or ready to kill or something. He was. But the significance of that, the West is being crashed into a brick wall because in seventy two nations, our elections have been manipulated and it's all Fidel. It's all Fidel and Cuba and Cuba and and Venezuela is the immediate enemies who did it. But Iran and China are in the background. Why do you think they don't make more of us think about the fact that Iran and China are really the guys behind this thing, the bankroll, the perpetrators, or the ones that are funding and directing it? we're having enough trouble getting i mean how do you get the public to eat an elephant one bite at a time right you i mean we got to get them to understand the elections are rigged the elections are rigged by by venezuela and cuba behind them is iran and china it's a lot to get through That's right. And that was my first reaction as well. It's like Venezuela. Really? What? Are you sure about that? No, that can't be. And then all of a sudden, like I said, it was it was all over the news. But we didn't really get to that China part. We didn't really get to that. Like, who's really behind it and why? And so I hope that continues to evolve, that story continues to come to light. And we continue to eat this elephant because that's really where the whole story is. They have actors and stooges and all that stuff that are out there taking the majority of the spotlight on this stuff, but that's really what it comes back to, communism. Did we get all the way to the Elon Musk part? Oh, no. We're talking about space lasers. I wanted to hear about space lasers. The Elon Musk part comes in. My partner, by this time, I was the target of a national... I was in Brazil at one point, and secret police were watching me. And so I went to somebody to find out why the police were watching me, someone in the Brazilian government, somebody I knew. and that person came back now i've never revealed this by the way but i had connections in the brazilian government and they came back and said here's a letter written by your embassy to our government saying patrick byrne is about to arrive in brazil byrne is the target of a major national uh security and criminal investigation within the united states we want you to keep him under surveillance so i knew i was under surveillance from the Brazilian government itself let me know that the US government had asked them that. I've never revealed that, by the way. So I had to go to Qatar. But we kept at this. And my partner, with all the information, was brought in by a senator from Oklahoma to Mar-a-Lago. The senator from Oklahoma is named Mark Wayne Mullen. And I love this aspect of the story. Mark Wayne Mullen is an MMA fighter. He's a plumber, small businessman, built an ice business, sold it for ten million bucks. He's a plumber and he, an MMA fighter. He's a Cherokee Injun. And a Cherokee Injun saved our country because he brought Martine into Mar-a-Lago and Gary. They briefed for three days in Mar-a-Lago, explained everything we had. Trump was the only guy in Mar-a-Lago who didn't meet with them because he didn't want to keep clean hands. And he said... Send this guy out to see Elon. He said, I want to know if this is true. Is there a way to stop it? And God damn, I knew that. I knew that a twenty twenty was stolen. You all told me it was. So I've only had those three responses. So my guys went out to see Elon. Elon spent a day at the end of the day. He. both dealing with Martin, looking at all the information we had and so on and so forth. He turns to his engineers, got on Zoom calls with the Venezuelan engineers over in Switzerland. Everything got sorted out over about twenty four, thirty six hours, at the end of which Elon turns to the senator, Mark Wayne Mullen, and says, Tell the president this is all true and we're fucked. I don't see any way to stop this. It's decentralized. And the Senator Mullen says, no, if you vouch for this to the president, there's a way this can be neutralized. So Elon got on a jet and flew up. This is about October fourth, October fifth, got on a jet and flew up to Pennsylvania and met with Trump. And from then on, remember how Elon Elon toured with Trump. And he was saying, if we don't win this election, civilization comes to an end. That's because he'd learned everything I'm telling you. And he turns out he wrote his girlfriend something about, on like October fifth, something about, uh something being set up that they're that's going to catch them by surprise that they're not prepared for ten thousand space lasers that was it's just come public in the last month or two she's been reading his texts and interviews the ten thousand space laser stuff that we were in a sense the ten thousand space lasers now they didn't have elon didn't have anything to do with with what happened next uh he vouched for our work to the president That this was all correct. And then steps were taken. The information got into, let's say, Cyber Command, got into the Department of Defense, and steps were taken by people within the government. Now, I've come under a lot of heat because there's a lot of bad people within the government trying to figure out, well, who intervened? And so I have to be oblique about how exactly it was done. But what matters is that four weeks later, on November fifth, twenty twenty four, a certain data center in Belgrade, Serbia, came under a massive cyber attack. I heard that they even melted down some of the machines and wiped them out for five days. That's the only reason we got through the election of twenty twenty four. And there are oblique references to this from from Trump and from Elon. Sometimes they've been on stage together and Elon and these texts that he sent his girlfriend have come out about ten thousand space lasers. We were the ten thousand space lasers. That's what really happened. And the government, they're still trying to figure out who exactly in government did this. There may have been some moonlighting involved. Let me put it this way. This may have been done by government people, but it may not have been on official time. So, you know, the left is going to want to say some people intervened in the twenty twenty four election, to which our answer is, well, if they intervene by hacking an operation in Serbia, what does that tell you about our elections? But this is someday going to be probably if Democrats ever get back in power, there's going to be a lot of attempt to try to figure out who exactly in the government did the hacking of that office in Serbia. And you've spent so much of a chunk of your fortune on pursuing free and fair elections. Are you that sure that voting is? You know, integrity is directly related to saving our republic. I mean, is that what you're sure of? You're sure that if we just can make sure that the voting system is legitimate, we've got a real shot? Well, it's a necessary, it's not a sufficient condition, but it's a necessary condition. We were overthrown by a group of Bolsheviks or globalists or whatever you want to call them. And I think what we had waiting for us was the same thing as what the Russians had waiting for them when the Bolsheviks took over. I think we were to be exterminated. China's plan is not as, well, it's a secret, but not so much anymore. You can read a book called The Hundred Year Marathon. which is by an American academic, Michael Pillsbury, who's close to Peter Navarro, if you know Peter in the Trump administration. Secondly, there were two colonels, two Chinese colonels who wrote a book in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about in about And they in two thousand and three, a retiring general gave a speech that leaked and it's the highest level leak in Chinese history. And it says their plans for America is when their strength is right. They're going to hit America with a bioweapon, destabilize us with a bioweapon. Then there's going to be a three year period where they say induce civil war. Then there's a three year period of civil war where the cartels are given free reign to. rape, pillage, loot, and burn. And then when there's nothing left but a husk, China occupies. It's called New China. This is in their national security literature. It's not something I just made up. You can look up the secret speech of Cher Haotian. You can look up unrestricted warfare. Their doctrine is two tigers cannot live on one mountain. At the end of the day, one tiger has to kill the other. And so it is between China and us. So that's their their plans to exterminate everyone but twenty million whites who they keep alive as slaves for five years to turn everything over. And again, this is in there now. Look, the best book to start with is one one hundred year marathon, which documents a great deal of what I'm telling you. It's in the national security literature of China that this is the plan. And in twenty twenty, they thought they had won. They thought it was over. They started distributing deeds on homes. Your beautiful home there in Texas, Bobby, there's some Chinese general. Some guy's got a deed to my house already. He's already bought it. He looks it up once a month. He gets on Google Earth. He looks it up. He sees you added a little hot tub in the backyard. He thanks you for that, Bobby. He thinks, well, this was supposed to be a hundred years from nineteen forty nine to twenty forty nine. In twenty ten, they accelerated. They said that by twenty thirty we will be complete in taking down America after twenty twenty one. They thought that by twenty twenty eight, maybe twenty twenty seven, they were going to be occupying America. This was all supposed to be done. And this is why once their guy got in, Joe Biden, he dropped the. He dropped the borders and let twenty million military age men come in. That's the force to fight this war for them. And lest a lot of people say, well, they have images of that movie Red Dawn. Oh, well, I've got my guns and I've got them clean and I'm ready for them. It's not going to work like that. They they know that if they create civil war and things break down, ninety percent of us die within a year just from the collapse and supply chains. And there's a wonderful book about that called One Second After. Ninety percent of Americans will die in the first year because the supply chains and food, fuel and pharmaceuticals collapse. So think of the walking dead. They want to create a walking dead world for us. Then the cartels get three years to do whatever. There's nothing left. Then the Chinese occupy. It's going to be very easy for them to occupy. So that's the plan. I didn't make that up. You can just go read their national security literature. So so so as we're battling for free elections, is that is that, you know, just kind of like sweeping the deck on the Titanic as it's going down? Is this something that's been advanced so far over so long of a period of time? I mean, I remember watching an interview with Ed Griffin. I can't remember the guy's name, but he was talking about ideological subversion. What's that guy's name? I can't remember that one. Yeah. Right. And this was in like nineteen eighty three or nineteen eighty four or something when when they're talking about how it takes Twenty years, one generation for this transition to to be complete. And it's almost done. And that was forty something years ago. So, you know, the question always is like, well, how far back does this go? Like, where did it begin? Why? Who started it? But more important, what can we do today to stop it, prevent it and then reverse it? Get us back to, you know, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Well, getting a free election was essential for twenty twenty four. If Kamala Harris had come in, we were going to be right back down under lockdowns. We were going to be lockdown for the bird flu pandemic, we would never have gotten out of it. In fact, we only got to twenty twenty four because they thought they could rig that election again. This thing we hit them from within Serbia was like an uppercut out of nowhere and we're never going to get that chance again. So we have to win this election. And to me, yeah, the Republicans, I mean, some of us hold our nose about the Republicans and some of the Republicans, some of us are on all people, but it's the Democrats. The Democrats, I mean, look at them. Their mask has come off. They basically, the DSA folks, they want, you know. So I did all this because I thought our country was done if we did not get to a fair election for twenty twenty four. And then if we did not have the Democrats unseated. So you bought us more time, which is where we need to pick up and get honest money. established so that we can start uh taking back control from the bankers well you have to have a fallback position to me and that kind of leads us to texas the fall texas coin the fallback position is you need you need some form of money Whether we get there through a Kamala Harris or a Joe Biden. Well, in answer to your question, how far back does this go? Here's an interesting aside for you. In the nineteen twenties and thirties, there was an active American Communist Party. The American Communist Party Whitaker Chambers, Alger Hiss, there was a component of it whose mission was to infiltrate the American government. And so there was a group of communists, a cell whose job was infiltrating the American government. It was called the Ware Group, W-A-R-E, named after a guy, I forget his first name, but he was the man in charge of that cell to infiltrate the U.S. government. Well, and a key leader in it was named Peter Ware. I'm blocking on the last name, but it was a guy named, where a guy named Peter. Why that's interesting is it came out that, you know, it has come out that not only did Hillary Clinton have her own private email, but so did Barack Obama. So did Joe Biden. Joe Biden's email was Peter Ware at Hotmail.com. He named himself after the leader of the Ware group, the communist group subverting the U.S. government in the nineteen thirties. That's kind of an odd coincidence. I would do that as well. But I'd use like characters out of Atlas Shrugged instead of like, you know, old heroes of communism. Yeah. Well, we want to see honest money take root. And I think that, you know, the early crypto adopters like yourself, they gave us a real fighting chance. And I started TechCitcoin because I feel like most of those guys that got into Bitcoin early have since retired, taken their fortunes and floated off into the sunset or... in some other way, abandoned that idea of digital decentralized peer-to-peer currency. I mean, you know, as well as anyone, the importance of actually using an alternative currency as a currency, circulating it, accepting it, trading it, spending it. Like guys today are talking about turning it into digital gold and treasuries and creating stores of value. And that's an important function of money, of course, but know we we had that shot with bitcoin and crypto and i feel like those guys have uh have given up on that maybe they thought it's impossible or maybe they just made their money and retired any any input or ideas on what happened to the early adopters the guys that turned you on to it how did you get into bitcoin you said you saw it early but What's the origin? I read the paper. I read the paper when I heard about it in the news and during the oh eight financial crisis and I read the paper. So you read the white paper, you saw the technical ability to prevent double spending in a trustless environment that made sense to you. I remember the Byzantine generals problem. I remember studying the Byzantine generals problem. But what I what I The way I approach it is we humans need money to communicate. And because that prices have to be priced in something and a price, economists would say it's a combination of two pieces of information about value and scarcity. That's what a price encapsulates. We need a medium to communicate the price in. the government and the forces of evil and power and control, they want that medium to be something they control that they can turn up and down with dials and twists and stuff to distort our messages to each other. We want a way to communicate through a medium where they can't distort it. That's why gold was so useful for thousands of years. There's no government bureaucrat that can sign a piece of paper and and create a new ton of gold. But of course, in the modern age, we need some form of digital gold and Bitcoin came along and it was that. However, I have my doubts about Bitcoin these days. These days or back then you had the doubts? Well, even back then in time, the Chinese influence in Bitcoin, I worry about the fifty one percent spending problem. I worry about I'm just worried about the fifty one percent problem, I mean, is my big worry. and that's why i like texacoin when i first heard of it that a at the end of the day if what we're talking about is something that doesn't die we want some bastion that freedom will not die and a money that will serve in that bastion and so those of us who like freedom can survive and be safe while the rest of the world you know, burns itself out. And so the idea of a form of Bitcoin, but where all the servers were in Texas or the majority of the servers were in Texas had immediate appeal to me. And that's my understanding that Texas is basically a branch of Bitcoin, but where all the servers are based in Texas. That's exactly right. That's exactly right, but it calls out that glaring contradiction about the idea of decentralized currency and so many people being excited about it, but not really being willing to pay attention to the fact that so much of it now is mined and controlled by China. And it's like, doesn't that scare anybody else? I mean, I like the idea of decentralized money. I like the idea of peer-to-peer currency. I don't like the idea of China being the ones that are primarily now in control of that. If you look at Bitcoin mining, you know, five, six years ago before China banned it, you know, it was like ninety two percent in China. And so that kind of centralization is way past the fifty one percent that scared you in the first place. And now you've got You still have the majority of it in China, but now the rest of it's controlled by either institutions or governments. It's like we handed the whole thing back to the same people that we set out to disrupt. We need a place where we can do this, and Texas seems like the right one. At least that was my take on it. What also bothered me, so I checked out a crypto largely about six or seven years ago when I went on the land and I just focused on this other operation. But what was also bothering me was Antminer, that China had made these machines that had been distributed around the world. to mine crypto. And it turned out somewhere around twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen, that Antminer had a back door in it so that Xi Jinping could wake up any day he wanted and take control of your machine, even if it was in Norway or something. So effectively, China had I when I was last involved, China was thought to have about forty percent of the mining. But if you added in the ant miner capability, it was seventy or eighty percent. So, yeah, there's things about Bitcoin that make me I use it as a medium of exchange. I don't store value in it. Yeah, no, that that was the problem that stood out to me as well. And when Bitcoin mining was primarily in China, eighty, ninety percent of it and then China banned it, you know, all those miners didn't just close down and, you know, decided they were done with their business. They moved all over the world. They moved to Mongolia. They moved to other places around China. So they're still primarily controlled. by China, in my opinion. And I said, we need this our way in Texas. Freedom has to be alive and well somewhere on planet Earth. Texans have a bit of the fighting spirit. And let's build a mine in Texas. Let's use their rules, their game, their code. Let's just do it specifically and exclusively in Texas. And so far, so good. We've had ups and downs. We were talking just before the call started about like, what happened? Last time we met, wasn't it like two bucks? Right. Yeah. I paid attention and it went all the way up to about ten bucks. What's what's happened? I'm sorry. It was about seven dollars. I think we barely touched seven dollars in like September twenty twenty five, about a year ago. And, you know, I would say a bunch of things. One is we learned what a cycle is. You know, you probably know the market cycle as well as anyone. What goes up must come down. You know, these things get hot and they get cold. And one of the things that I was always doing was encouraging our community to continue selling Texacoin. You know, for a market to be healthy, we need buyers, we need sellers. And we had a lot of people in our community that were holding on. They said, this thing's going to go all the way up, sixteen dollars, eighty dollars, eight hundred dollars. We don't want to sell. And I said, we need more sellers because if this thing gets too hot, too fast, all of a sudden people that got in very, very early are going to want to cash out and they're going to reach a point where they're looking at the number and say, man, if I just sell right now, I'm worth a million or two million or five million or ten million. Might as well cash out. And as soon as we hit that point and this thing starts to turn and go the other way, it's going to be hard to try to catch it, stop it. and so we saw that happen at the end of september early october we said man this thing is is getting big um and i don't think we're ready for it i don't think our community has really engaged the project enough to understand wallet adoption you know exchange trading buy and sell orders and all the things that this community really needs to to prosper we took a bunch of people Gold and silver buyers, the people that I had made coins for for years and years. We took these people that have never been in crypto and brought them into this high tech world. And it got very exciting and it got very big, very fast. And then all of a sudden we saw the market turn and then we wrote it all the way down till February when the state of Texas issued a cease and desist against Texacoin. Are you in the loop on that one? No. What happened? February, we got hit with a emergency order because they accused us of being an unregistered security. And that was kind of like not that surprising. We knew that crypto projects as they got big, usually sooner or later ended up in the spotlight getting accused of the security thing. I mean, but isn't it just a fork? Aren't you just a fork of Bitcoin? Technically of Litecoin. Yeah, we're a Litecoin clone. So what was strange about it was that like a month later, the SEC for the first time ever puts out actual guidance saying, okay, these are not securities. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin. They even put XRP in that list, which was really strange because XRP is not a mineable coin. It's a security. It's centrally controlled. They pre-mined the whole thing. They release it to whomever they want on their own schedule. It's the most security-like out of all of them on that list. And so we said, okay, well, the government just came out for the first time and said, these are digital commodities. Are we good to go then? Yeah. Well, not good to go because we got to go to court. So we were supposed to have a hearing inside of ten days. Our attorneys pushed it out six months. We went to court. Maddie was there for all four days of this hearing, and somehow we convinced the judge which was really weird to live stream the entire four day hearing on YouTube. So something like one hundred and twenty thousand people got to watch this master class in Texas, security law, fraud law and, you know, just a bunch of things. But that was the second part of the cease and desist. They accused us of fraud. They accused me of intentionally failing to disclose a bankruptcy from two thousand and thirteen and a couple of other things. Did you put, is there a Texit paper like Satoshi's white paper? Is there a Texit paper? We have since published one. We put one out maybe in May or something of this year. But the thing about the fraud accusation was so weird because we do these calls, we do them live. We talk about everything from one side to the other. And so when the state accused us of fraud, we're like, that's really unfair because they don't have any evidence. And why would you do that? Why wouldn't you just call us if you had questions about it? So we put their investigator on the stand or they put their investigator on the stand in court who admitted that they lied about the fraud allegations and that they had no evidence and they knew that they were putting these things that were completely untrue in the cease and desist. And it didn't really make sense until just recently when we figured out that you can't get emergency cease and desist without fraud. There's no fraud. There's no emergency. No emergency means no cease and desist order. So It's been frustrating. That applies to the sale of mining packages, the cease and desist. This entire time, the Texacoin blockchain continues to work, produce blocks, the mining output continues. And so, yeah, it's... It's not like the project hasn't been operating. And then this has been a major building period, which has been super exciting for me to see. Seventeen projects built on Texacoin to be able to make payments to small businesses with a terminal. We have actually got one here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We've come we've come a long way. I mean, last year, twenty twenty four, twenty twenty five was all about getting the community together. You know, we believe that if we're going to have an alternative currency, there's going to have to be a community of people that support that. And I look at the mainstream crypto community now and they're in it for trading. They're in it for meme coins. They're in it for NFTs. But but they're not really. there to get it to be successful as an alternative currency and that was the part about it that was most intriguing to me you know i'd go all the way back to two thousand and eight when i started my own currency and i said this is really great financial technology if you remember that's kind of the speech that i gave at the ron paul barbecue it's like look this is what texacoin is what happens when you take a financial technology that's as important as bitcoin and blockchain and you pair it up with something as important as honest money which i've been passionate about for you know now eighteen years because of ron paul and so you know our version of cryptocurrency is a made in texas version and we're doing it with texans and texas energy and you know the texas brand and and the idea that uh that freedom has to have somewhere on planet earth where it can be built and live and grow and prosper. Then we need to be able to help small businesses. I think freedom dies last in Texas, because in Texas, you folks are going to be willing to do whatever it takes to preserve freedom, even if God forbid the U.S. should fall. I think Texas is the last holdout or one of the last holdouts. And that was the appeal to me. The question then is, do you think Texas, if America did fall, would go down with the ship? I mean, I started TexitCoin based on the same concepts of Brexit. I don't think Texas would do that. I think that they could split off, become their own independent nation as they once were, have their own honest money system with TexitCoin, and be the place where freedom continues to live on Earth. Yeah, I think that's exactly what happens. We came quite a bit closer to it than people realize. I mean, if the other side, if Kamala had been reelected, we were going to be within three weeks under a new lockdown related to the global bird flu pandemic. Remember in the months leading up to the last election? I remember it. Increasingly bad news. I said, here we go again. Here we go again. They're going to do it again. Yeah. Yeah, their plan was, I think, November twenty third. Once you won, they were going to go into lockdown. And and then there would have been civil war. By the way, what happened to that global bird flu pandemic? That was going to be so much worse than COVID. It just sort of just kind of fizzled out. They ran it up the flagpole. They realized it wasn't going to get the same traction that they had before. And they decided they were going to go for it. If Kamala won, they were going forward with it. They were going forward. But when Kamala lost, they they. had they were SOL. But yeah, I think that it's already been, I think Montana's already passed a law that says if we ever go back to a situation where The president is going to amend the World Health Organization treaty amendment, the lefties, which is that we cede our sovereignty to the World Health Organization. So this guy, Boutros or whatever from Ethiopia, who himself, the head of the World Health Organization, this doctor, But he's not actually a physician. He's like a doctor of social justice or something. He oversaw two cholera outbreaks in Ethiopia, and he covered them both up. Now he's the head of the World Health Organization. He was all during the COVID scandemic. And there was a point somewhere in the middle of that, somebody asked him about his vaccination status. He said, oh, I haven't been vaccinated. and then he kind of caught himself he said well i've decided until every last person in africa is vaccinated it's not right so they were trying to bottom was trying to get a treaty amendment through that would say we if that man says there's in any country there's a pandemic of something and that country you have to do xyz to stop it you have to by treaty obligation and so what happens if they sign that and then that man declares there's a pandemic of white christian whiteness in america and you have to round them all up Biden could do it saying, well, legally, it's all per this. Right. That's what they're after. Well, Montana's already passed a law that says if they ever amend the treaty to cede sovereignty to the World Health Organization, Montana already has passed the law that said we secede from the union. It's already done it. No further work is necessary. And there'll be other states that follow. Well, I hope the country stays together. Some people question us with the Texit brand and they say, is that what you want? And it's like, no, no, no, we don't want that at all. What we want is freedom. What we want is the continued preservation of our right to choose how we communicate with money to each other. Like you said, it's a really good way of thinking at it because it is communication, it's trade, and it's got to be honest. And whatever happens for the country, we need a place where we can have that honest conversation and we can have honest money to give people the ability to trade. It has to happen. It's got to happen somewhere. So that's the mission that I'm fighting for. I'm extremely grateful as some of the comments are showing up here, as other people are about your contribution to holding this country of ours together. Thank you. And it was really great to have you on today to share your story, your opinion and and your experiences with us and our community and your community as well. So thank you for that. Patrick, like what can people do to support you and where can people go to do that? Well, the people can go just follow me on Twitter, Patrick Byrne at Twitter, and download the movie. It's free now on Prime. They changed it to free called The Enemy Within. Go ahead and look at that. It's been an honor to be on your show, Bobby, and best of luck with Texas Coin. I think it's a great innovation. Thank you so much. Great to be here. Great to have you. And we hope to see you again very soon. Thanks, Matty. Take us away. Thank you.
